About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Solution Architect to join our growing Consultancy Practice. This role involves shaping and assuring complex technology solutions for major defence sector customers, driving large-scale transformation programmes and modernising organisations through innovative technology strategies. You will engage directly with senior stakeholders, gaining exposure to leading-edge technologies and high-profile transformation programmes.

Responsibilities

Act as the Technical Authority for complex, enterprise-scale and mission-critical transformation programmes within the Defence industry
Lead technical strategy and architecture discussions with customers, understanding both business and technical drivers
Shape and assure integrated solutions across multiple technology domains including Workplace, Security, Networking, Cloud, Datacentre, and Applications
Produce and validate high-level architecture and solution design documentation
Support pre-sales engagements, large-scale opportunities, and strategic customer programmes
Engage with C-level executives and senior IT leadership teams, aligning solutions to broader business objectives
Collaborate with vendors, partners, and internal SMEs to develop innovative and market-leading solutions
Lead or contribute to large-scale technology transformation programmes across complex enterprise environments
Act as a Design Authority for key customer accounts, ensuring governance, quality, and compliance standards are maintained
Support the development of new propositions and services alongside Strategy and Portfolio teams
Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, industry trends, and evolving customer requirements

Requirements

Significant experience in an Enterprise or Solution Architecture role within large-scale IT environments
Proven experience leading technical teams through both pre-sales and delivery phases of complex transformation programmes
Experience working within the defence sector, with understanding of security requirements, governance, and stakeholder engagement
Strong experience engaging with C-level executives, senior IT leadership, and enterprise customers
Demonstrated success leading or contributing to major transformation initiatives from strategy through execution
Strong understanding of technical governance, assurance, and architectural best practices
Experience managing the full customer engagement lifecycle from early qualification through to successful delivery
Commercial awareness and understanding of how solution design impacts operational and contractual service delivery
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across both technical and business audiences
