About the Role
This is a hands-on role for a graduate with 1-2 years of experience, ideally in fintech or another regulated environment, who has worked in a legal, contract, or compliance role. The position offers broad exposure across contracts, regulatory support, and legal operations with opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities
- Assist with drafting, review, and administration of commercial documents, including NDAs, supplier agreements, and employment-related documentation.
- Maintain and update the contract management system for accurate recording, tracking, and accessibility of agreements.
- Support the full contract lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, terminations, and deadline management.
- Conduct legal and regulatory research across operating jurisdictions.
- Coordinate document execution, arrange signatures, and maintain clean execution records.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather information, assist with legal queries, and manage matters.
- Help develop and maintain legal templates, policies, and internal procedures.
- Support internal audits and regulatory reviews by collating and organizing documentation.
Requirements
- A degree in law, business, or a related discipline.
- Approximately 1-2 years of experience in a professional environment, preferably in fintech, financial services, or another regulated setting.
- Demonstrated experience with contracts, legal documentation, or a regulated compliance function.
- A legally minded approach with a genuine interest in law, regulation, and the operation of regulated businesses.
- Strong organization and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and work efficiently and accurately under deadlines.
- Confident and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Solid IT skills, proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and capable of learning new systems quickly.
- A proactive, professional attitude and the maturity to operate in a corporate environment.
- A strong desire to learn and build a career in legal, regulatory, and compliance work.
- Familiarity with a contract management system or other legal/compliance tools is desirable.
- Understanding of financial services regulation (e.g., FCA) and practical operation of regulated businesses is desirable.
