About the Role
As a UK and ideally European Trademark Attorney (m/f/d), you will manage and develop international trademark and design portfolios for a sophisticated national and international client base. You will advise clients on the development of trademark and design application strategies.
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop international trademark and design portfolios.
- Advise clients on trademark and design application strategies.
- Prepare and handle trademark and design applications through to registration.
- Coordinate national filings worldwide in collaboration with our international network of associate attorneys.
- Prepare and conduct opposition, cancellation, and expiry proceedings independently.
- Represent client interests in contentious proceedings before trademark offices.
- Coordinate international disputes with local representatives.
- Negotiate and draft settlement agreements.
Requirements
- Sound knowledge of UK and ideally European trademark law.
- Experience in managing international trademark portfolios.
- Familiarity with trademark search processes.
- Experience with the development and implementation of filing and protection strategies.
- Proficiency in international filing procedures.
- Experience working with associate attorneys worldwide.
- Meticulous and structured approach to work.
- Strong analytical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact confidently with clients, authorities, and colleagues.
- Team player.
- Willingness to take responsibility for mandates.
