About the Role
As a Senior Employee Relations Advisor, you will act as a trusted partner and escalation point for leaders navigating complex workplace matters. You will lead end-to-end grievance investigations and translate employment legislation and internal policies into robust, commercially pragmatic recommendations. Beyond delivering expert, day-to-day case management, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our wider People strategy by championing continuous improvement projects and coaching a dedicated team of ER Advisors.
Responsibilities
- Execute the day-to-day operational delivery of employee relations case management and lead end-to-end grievance investigation services across several regions.
- Deliver strong, supportive leadership across ER team members within the Team Services team, providing coaching and development support to junior ER advisors.
- Represent the business in claims across external jurisdictions (such as the Fair Work Commission and Human Rights Commissions) and in interactions with external employee representative bodies like the SDA.
- Support and guide the business with industrial disputes and workplace issues outside of standard bargaining processes.
- Develop and deliver performance management training programs to emerging leaders across the business.
- Interpret and deliver data insights, trends, and strategic opportunities to Senior Operations stakeholders.
- Support business-wide projects and strategic initiatives, including bargaining, compliance, and employment governance.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in Human Resources or Employee Relations.
- Demonstrable experience managing complex HR/ER matters and a proven track record of leading a high-performing team of professionals.
- Sound knowledge and deep understanding of relevant ER legislation across different jurisdictions and its practical application within company policy.
- Clear capacity to provide commercial, risk-managed, yet fast and simple HR/ER solutions to Line Managers and business units.
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills to engage collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and customers.
- Previous experience leading large teams in service delivery environments is highly regarded.
