About the Role

Utilize specialist spatial knowledge and skills to undertake activities related to sourcing, quality assurance, maintenance, and delivery of Spatial Services' Foundation Spatial Data and the EICU’s Spatial Services' Emergency Services Spatial Information Library (ESSIL). Provide spatial support for emergency preparation, planning, and recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake activities related to sourcing, quality assurance, maintenance, and delivery of Spatial Services' Foundation Spatial Data.
  • Undertake activities related to sourcing, quality assurance, maintenance, delivery, and operational utilization of the EICU’s Spatial Services' Emergency Services Spatial Information Library (ESSIL) and Foundation Spatial Data.
  • Provide spatial support for emergency preparation, planning, and recovery.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Spatial Information Services or equivalent and/or recognised industry experience.
  • Must have, or be able to attain and maintain, NV1 level security clearance as a condition of employment.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and think dynamically when faced with changing circumstances.
  • Application must include a covering letter (maximum two pages) and an up-to-date resume (maximum five pages).

Skills

  • Demonstrated experience and skills using GIS and related applications including data management, mapping, and spatial analysis.
  • Basic knowledge of ETL tools and their application to spatial data.
