About the Role
Oversee day-to-day operations of docket functions and assist with maintaining the docket database for Litigation, Corporate, and Administrative departments. This role involves using AI tools to enhance work processes and requires a willingness to learn and experiment with technology.
Responsibilities
- Review court, agency, and client documents for relevant deadlines.
- Calculate court and regulatory deadlines and enter information into the docket database.
- Respond to inquiries from attorneys and staff regarding docket entries.
- Maintain rule sets used in the docket software.
- Provide ongoing training and exposure to staff and attorneys on docket policies, procedures, and rule changes.
- Monitor electronic court filings.
- Assist in data collection, retrieval, and analysis for Risk Management projects.
- Calendar 83b filing deadlines into CompuLaw.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience with automated docketing/calendaring programs.
- Knowledge of federal and state court structures, procedures, and filing requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with minimal direction.
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
- 5+ years calendaring experience in a law firm or legal department.
- Proficiency in automated docketing/calendaring programs.
