About the Role

Employment Plus, part of The Salvation Army, is seeking an Employment Consultant for its Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) program. This role focuses on building genuine relationships and providing personalized support to individuals with a disability, injury, or health condition to help them achieve sustainable employment. The IEA program emphasizes quality outcomes over volume and offers a smaller caseload for more in-depth participant engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Building supportive, motivating relationships with IEA participants
  • Assisting individuals with resume preparation, job applications, and interview skills
  • Liaising with local employers to identify suitable opportunities and advocating for participants
  • Providing ongoing support to individuals once they commence employment
  • Making referrals to training providers, allied health, and community services
  • Maintaining accurate records to ensure quality support

Requirements

  • A driver's licence and own car are required for travel across the region
  • Successful completion of a National Criminal History Check
  • Successful completion of a Working with Children Check or relevant state equivalent
