About the Role

Mace is hiring an Assistant Benefits Manager to join their London team. This role is ideal for an experienced benefits professional looking to broaden their strategic exposure while continuing to develop their expertise within a global and growing organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Support the review and continuous improvement of UK benefits to ensure compliance, competitiveness, employee engagement and value for money.
  • Assist with benefit reviews, renewals and project activities outside the UK.
  • Support the administration, maintenance and enhancement of benefits technology, platforms and related processes.
  • Manage relationships with benefit providers, brokers and consultants to support effective service delivery and issue resolution.
  • Support the governance and administration of the UK healthcare trust and pension governance committee.
  • Assist with the review and enhancement of benefit offerings to support attraction, retention and employee wellbeing objectives.
  • Support the delivery of benefits communications, engagement campaigns and global benefits initiatives to increase awareness and utilisation.
  • Act as a point of contact for benefits-related enquiries and support the resolution of employee and stakeholder queries.
  • Collaborate with Reward, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Global Mobility, Wellbeing and ED&I teams to support aligned people initiatives and local business requirements.
  • Analyse benefits data, employee feedback and market trends to support decision-making, programme improvements and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain knowledge of legislative developments and best practice in employee benefits.
  • Support benefits-related aspects of acquisitions, integrations, TUPE transfers and other reward projects.

Requirements

  • Solid experience in employee benefits administration and programme support, with a strong understanding of health, risk and wellbeing benefits.
  • Organised, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, providers and stakeholders, while delivering a high standard of customer service.
  • Good understanding of employee benefits legislation and market practice and keen to continue developing technical expertise.
  • Proactive, analytical and solution-focused, with the ability to balance operational delivery with continuous improvement.
  • Comfortable working with data and producing meaningful analysis to support decision-making.
  • Demonstrate curiosity by listening, learning and contributing ideas to improve processes and employee experience.
  • Excellent numerical, written and verbal communication skills and enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Experience supporting the administration or management of employee benefits programmes.
  • Good knowledge of core UK benefits including pension, healthcare, risk and wellbeing programmes.
  • Experience working with benefit providers, brokers or external vendors.
  • Strong project coordination and organisational skills.
  • Ability to analyse data and produce accurate reports and insights.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and benefits market practices.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working within a multinational or complex organisation is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HR/benefits systems.
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to delivering an excellent employee experience.
