About the Role
Abbott is a global healthcare leader creating breakthrough science to improve people’s health. This role supports the development and management of a successful, sustainable Infectious Disease franchise, ensuring delivery of exceptional customer value and business targets. The individual acts as a subject matter expert on products/solutions and manages the product area day-to-day in line with the global marketing plan.
Responsibilities
- Support the global product strategy, product development and commercialization of products in the Infectious Disease portfolio.
- Build a global marketing plan to position product lines.
- Collaborate on the execution of global marketing initiatives to grow the business.
- Serve as product/market expert related to product positioning, claims, competitive information, and product performance.
- Provide direction on user needs and product requirements based on market research and customer input.
- Participate in strategic planning initiatives.
- Provide leadership and direction to R&D and support organizations throughout product development.
- Develop sales tools, training materials, and communications to support sales and customers.
- Ensure launch and post-launch success by providing support to global commercial organizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, engineering, or related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of product marketing/brand marketing experience in healthcare or medical products.
- Experience in product management/development and launch, including go-to-market planning.
- Experience in developing compelling content for marketing materials.
- Strong presentation & communication skills.
