About the Role
The Scrum Master will facilitate the successful delivery of the Bond & Repo project, ensuring high-quality outcomes aligned with ASX’s strategic objectives and regulatory requirements. This role is part of the persistent team for the ASX Trade platform.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Act as the integration point of contact to manage key dependencies across teams.
- Ensure key dependencies are understood, raised, tracked, and prioritized.
- Ensure agile best practices are followed and adapted to project needs.
- Coach and mentor team members in agile principles and practices.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
- Proactively identify and resolve blockers to delivery.
- Escalate issues to project governance forums as required.
- Liaise with Product Owners, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, Testers, and other stakeholders.
- Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies clearly.
- Drive process improvements and adoption of new tools.
- Support the team in adapting to evolving requirements and priorities.
- Ensure delivery milestones are met and documented.
- Support reporting and compliance with ASX’s delivery framework.
- Assist in managing RAIDD (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies, Decisions).
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience as a Scrum Master and/or Integration Manager in large-scale, complex technology projects in the Finance industry, preferably Capital Markets – Bond & Repo.
- Strong understanding of both Waterfall & agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and delivery methodologies.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (Business Analysts, Developers, Testers, Infrastructure, etc.).
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
- Expertise in managing work breakdown structure using collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirements.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Candidates must be legally authorised to work in Australia on a permanent basis without any restrictions.
