About the Role

ConnectSydney, a joint venture of ServiceStream, Boral, and Johnson Controls, in partnership with Transport for NSW (TfNSW), is entrusted with the management of the Harbour Zone. This role is responsible for scheduling activities on projects, producing and updating schedules, and providing ongoing scheduling support to achieve project objectives. Responsibilities

  • Set up schedules for projects, update schedules, and report progress against baseline.
  • Develop and present budgets to the project manager for approval.
  • Deliver works within approved budgets.
  • Ensure timesheets are properly completed and authorized in a timely manner.
  • Provide weekly, fortnightly, and monthly report input as required.
  • Manage and control the budget associated with the relevant scope of work, including cost control in accordance with the Work Breakdown Structure and forecasting of revenue and cost to complete for monthly reporting.
  • Review and implement project-wide quality documentation.
  • Plan, manage, and implement site establishment activities to ensure all site-specific and contract requirements are met.
  • Ensure technical, program, quality, environmental, community, industrial, safety, and commercial obligations are achieved and maintained on site.
  • Liaise with the Client, manage subcontractors and Suppliers on project site issues, and organize/manage meetings as required.
  • Liaise and coordinate with internal management to ensure adequate supervision of projects and subcontractors.
  • Liaise and coordinate with all external parties and relevant statutory authorities, managing their works and attendance on site as necessary.
  • Manage and maintain all quality records covering the full scope of project works for submission to the client upon project completion.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in civil construction.
  • Familiarity with commercial, contractual, and financial aspects of projects.
  • Familiarity with Transport for NSW specifications.
  • Good command of MS Project and/or similar software.
  • Understanding of schedule sequencing and logical linkages between activities.
  • Implementation of earned value analysis.
  • Familiarity with activities involved in setting up project teams and site establishment relating to multidiscipline projects.
  • Ability to work within a team.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated understanding of planning and scheduling functions.
