About the Role
This role is responsible for developing long term client relationships, selling services and products, negotiating contracts, closing deals, and transitioning clients to the Key Account Management team. The role collaborates with National Key Account Managers, sales operations, and marketing to achieve sales goals. Travel is required throughout Western Canada and to head office. The role also participates in customer-focused events and develops customer appreciation events.
Responsibilities
- Identify, contact, and qualify potential customers to sell United services and products within the assigned region or territory according to annual sales plans and goals.
- Manage leads and opportunities funnel within Salesforce and meet monthly and quarterly targets.
- Collaborate with National Key Account Managers, Sales operations, and Pricing teams to deliver quotes and bids within margin threshold targets.
- Increase United brand presence within specified regions or territories through sales and marketing activities.
- Actively participate in sales team meetings, one to ones, marketing meetings and report progress, analyze accounts and provide recommendations to improve sales activities.
- Participate within the prescribed sales processes and update/maintain all customer data and sales activity progress within Salesforce (CRM).
- Actively receive, respond, and manage customer concerns and requests within United service standards.
- Collaborate with the sales team to participate and create annual sales plans.
- Ensure compliance with all United processes, systems, and health and safety compliances.
- Ensure data integrity pertaining to customer data within Salesforce and/or any other technology platforms.
- Manage business processes using United technologies provided (e.g., Salesforce & Microsoft Programs).
- Manage asset management of assets provided for work.
- Perform all daily functions in alignment with company mission, vision, and values.
- Work in compliance with Health & Safety policies and legislation and take every reasonable precaution to protect the health and safety of all employees and business partners.
- Protect company assets from damage and misuse.
- Perform other related duties as may be required.
Requirements
- Available to address customer needs and concerns in a timely manner.
- Willing to travel frequently within the designated territory or outside the province as may be required.
- Ability to deal with high level of stress and solve problems as they arise.
- Ability to work outside office hours if required by the customer.
- Available to address concerns in a 24/7 environment.
