About the Role

The Infant/Toddler Specialist provides technical assistance and training for Day Care Center, Family and Group Family Child Care Providers. This role reports to the Director of Professional Development.

Responsibilities

  • Assist providers in developing infant/toddler programs.
  • Provide technical assistance and training to caregivers on best practices in serving infants and toddlers, focusing on responsive care, learning environments, and activities.
  • Serve as a resource to regional licensing/registration staff on infant/toddler care issues.
  • Maintain required documentation and files for timely reporting, including monthly data entry into MITCH/software.
  • Submit monthly activity reports to the Director of PD and Westchester Child Care Council.
  • Attend regional meetings and training sessions.
  • Participate in approved educational activities such as seminars, workshops, and professional conferences.
  • Represent CCCDP in the community through approved activities.
  • Submit monthly expense reports to the Financial Manager.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Develop and deliver training on infant/toddler topics for in-house and on-site capacities.
  • Travel between Dutchess and Putnam Counties to introduce agency services to educators.
  • Perform additional duties for the agency as needed, such as tabling events and the Champions of Child Care event.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to travel throughout designated counties.
  • Must possess a valid Driver License and reliable transportation.
  • Spanish language proficiency is preferred.
