About the Role
This opportunity is ideal for students studying Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Economics or Human Resources who are available to work part-time while completing their degree. We're seeking students looking to build their career with us over the next 18 months or longer, gaining valuable hands-on experience alongside their studies.
Responsibilities
- Monitor client mailboxes, draft email responses to client queries, and request tax data from clients.
- Read, write, type, and communicate in Mandarin to support Mandarin-speaking clients and work with Mandarin-language materials, where required.
- Liaise with Deloitte overseas offices regarding mutual clients.
- Monitor client KPIs and provide status reports to clients.
- Prepare invoices for clients.
- Prepare personal tax returns and payroll calculations.
- Update tax software and online portal with client information.
- Liaise with the Australian Taxation Office to request remission of general interest charges for individual clients and variation of PAYG instalment income.
Requirements
- Interpersonal skills required to team effectively with clients and their employees.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to client-centric service.
- Analytical and numerical skills.
- Organizational skills and ability to handle large volumes of work.
- An Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Mandarin language skills are preferred.
- Able to commence this position as soon as possible.
