About the Role
This role is responsible for the design, specification, and delivery of civil structural engineering services across various market sectors including transport, heavy industrial, mining, process, and water. The role involves the design of structural systems and foundations constructed from concrete, steel, and other engineered materials, as well as bridges, culverts, pits, platforms, silos, overhead wiring structures, equipment supports, retaining structures, and associated infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Perform all conventional aspects of structural engineering.
- Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications.
- Prepare and check design calculations using either manual methods or with the aid of computer applications such as Space Gass, ETABS, Idea Statica, RAPT or Strand7.
- Prepare and independently check structural calculations, technical reports, and specifications.
- Deliver work according to budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
- Liaise with peers, subordinates, clients, suppliers, statutory authorities, and other consultants.
Requirements
- Experience in the practice of the discipline of structural engineering in a consulting and project environment.
- Background in design of Rail, Roads & transport, mining, water, oil & gas.
- Full Australian working rights.
- Ability to obtain baseline clearance.
