About the Role

Shape the future of mobile experiences for Business Banking customers. Influence architecture, engineering standards and platform direction across one of Australia's largest mobile engineering environments. Experiment with and scale Generative AI and agentic AI experiences that transform how customers interact with the bank.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of scalable, high-performing iOS applications and platform capabilities.
  • Drive architecture decisions and establish engineering standards across mobile experiences.
  • Champion platform excellence across performance, accessibility, security and reliability.
  • Guide teams through the full engineering lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment and optimisation.
  • Partner with backend, cloud and AI teams to build integrated customer experiences.
  • Improve engineering practices, developer experience and platform capabilities.
  • Mentor engineers and help grow mobile engineering capability across the organisation.
  • Drive operational excellence through monitoring, observability and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Strong experience building and scaling native iOS applications.
  • Proven experience leading technical decisions and influencing engineering outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of mobile architecture and software engineering best practices.
  • Experience delivering high-quality customer-facing digital experiences.
  • A passion for engineering excellence, platform craftsmanship and continuous improvement.
  • The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and uplifting technical capability across teams.
  • Experience working with cloud-native platforms, backend integration patterns or AI-enabled customer experiences is highly regarded but not essential.
