About the Role

NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital seeks a Physician Assistant for its Emergency Department. This role is crucial in delivering world-class care and advancing the hospital's mission of Putting Patients First. You will work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment alongside experienced physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and specialists, providing compassionate, evidence-based care.

Responsibilities

Participate in all aspects of emergency care, including patient assessment, triage, and management.
Perform emergency resuscitation and stabilization.
Evaluate and treat patients in the Fast Track area.
Perform emergency procedures such as intubation, chest tube insertion, and central venous line placement.
Develop and implement treatment plans.
Provide patient education and discharge planning.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

Requirements

Minimum of 1–2 years of Emergency Department experience as a Physician Assistant.
Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Current New York State Physician Assistant License.
Current NCCPA Certification.
Current ACLS and BLS Certifications.
New York State Infection Control Certification.
Must live within a commutable distance to NYP.
