About the Role
As a Driver, you will support the mission of Sydney City Salvos by collecting, delivering, and assisting with the safe storage of donated goods. You will serve as the professional face of donation operations while ensuring vital resources reach those in need across Sydney.
Responsibilities
- Collect and transport donated food and material goods according to schedules and safety standards.
- Safely load, unload, inspect, and store donations while maintaining product quality.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with charitable partners.
- Provide guidance and support to volunteers involved in logistics.
- Operate and maintain collection vehicles while completing accurate run sheets and reports.
- Support store and kitchen operations through stock rotation, shelf replenishment, and waste management.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of driving experience.
- Current C Class Drivers Licence.
- Ability to pass a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.
- Ability to pass a Working with Children Check.
- Physical fitness to perform manual handling, lifting, and climbing tasks in accordance with WHS procedures.
