About the Role

As a Driver, you will support the mission of Sydney City Salvos by collecting, delivering, and assisting with the safe storage of donated goods vital to our services, while representing our organization professionally.

Responsibilities

• Collect and transport donated food and material goods in line with scheduled pickup requirements and all relevant safety, food handling, and legislative standards.
• Safely load, unload, inspect, and store incoming donations while ensuring product quality and minimizing spoilage.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with charitable partners, delivering a professional and collaborative experience.
• Provide guidance and support to volunteers involved in donation collection and logistics activities.
• Operate and maintain collection vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring accurate completion of run sheets, donation records, and related reporting.
• Support centre, store and kitchen operations through stock rotation, shelf replenishment, waste management, workplace housekeeping, and participation in key events and appeals.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year driving experience
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
• Positive team player with driving experience and strong communication skills.
• A Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check is required
• Current C Class Drivers Licence
• Working with Childrens Check
• Requires physical fitness to perform tasks such as prolonged standing/walking, manual handling (push, pull, lift, carry), restraining stock, and climbing ladders, in accordance with WHS procedures

Salary/Compensations
