About the Role
Penguin Random House Australia is seeking a commercially minded DK Sales Planning Manager to drive the success of Dorling Kindersley (DK) across Australia and New Zealand from their North Sydney office. This role involves analyzing markets, identifying growth opportunities, and collaborating across departments to achieve commercial results.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of the commercial strategy for the DK publishing program across ANZ.
- Identify opportunities to grow sales.
- Monitor business performance.
- Use data and market insights to help shape future initiatives.
- Help develop and deliver DK's ANZ growth strategy.
- Identify new commercial and market opportunities.
- Analyze sales trends and performance to inform business decisions.
- Support forecasting, budgeting and commercial planning.
- Work closely with Sales and Business Development to identify channel growth opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and the DK global team.
- Monitor performance and recommend actions to improve results.
- Influence and motivate the sales team to achieve growth targets and improve performance.
Requirements
- Commercial curiosity, strong analytical skills and a passion for growing brands.
- Experience in sales, category management, business development or commercial planning.
- Strong commercial acumen and confidence working with data and insights.
- Experience identifying opportunities to drive revenue growth.
- Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills.
- Strong planning and organisational capability.
- Experience in publishing, retail or FMCG will be highly regarded, although not essential.
