About the Role

The Technical Specialist role is focused on delivering the technical aspects of implementation for the InterSystems TrakCare patient-centric healthcare solution, which uses InterSystems IRIS for Health for database, application logic, and integration.

Responsibilities

  • Develop documentation for implementation requirements, including functional and technical aspects, connectivity, and business cases.
  • Implement interfaces, including unit and system testing.
  • Document the 'as built' interface, including technical setup and dependencies.
  • Support interfaces and manage changes to requirements over time.
  • Install and configure the TrakCare solution in multiple environments.
  • Update TrakCare installations with the latest versions.
  • Apply application patches and ad-hoc releases.
  • Undertake customer-specific development, such as reports or data extracts.
  • Liaise with clients or business analysts regarding enhancement requests.
  • Advise and assist Project Managers during implementation.
  • Manage the resolution of outstanding acceptance issues before and after project go-live.
  • Provide support on the TrakCare data dictionary.
  • Advise clients on technical best practices for networks, configurations, and architectures.
  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting and performance analysis of reports, stored procedures, interfaces, data conversions, migration scripts, and user-defined features.
  • Monitor and respond to Technical Team calls via the support ticketing system.
  • Produce training materials for technical courses.
  • Produce technical documentation, including reference materials, installation instructions, user guides, and knowledge base articles.
  • Participate in on-site technical training.
  • Participate in on-site technical implementations.
  • Participate in the on-call 24-hour roster service during implementation.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of SQL, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs, JSON, and XML.
  • Familiarity with Python or shell scripting for automation and data tasks.
  • Experience with data analysis and database methodologies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to design and write technical documents.
  • Well versed in Internet/Intranet concepts and Microsoft IIS.
  • Experienced in customer-focused support.
  • Proven ability to lead and deliver results within specific time frames.
  • Good presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct training and develop training materials.
  • Ability to work within a team in a cross-departmental environment.
  • Available for out-of-office hours work and willing to travel.
  • Keen to learn new technologies and applications.
  • Ability to use Company-approved AI tools for documentation, development, troubleshooting, and data analysis, and to validate outputs.
  • Understanding of responsible AI, including privacy, security, patient confidentiality, bias, and human oversight.
