About the Role
Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco (BGCSF) is seeking a Youth Development Coordinator, Floater to provide flexible program and departmental support across the Mission and Columbia Park Clubhouses. This role involves leading and assisting with activities, tutoring, and structured programs for youth ages 6-18, while also supporting administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Leads and assists with drop-in activities, tutoring, and structured programs for youth ages 6–18.
- Supports Clubhouse Supervisors and Directors with administrative needs such as daily data entry.
- Run games, drop-in activities, homework help, and age-appropriate educational activities that foster creativity and active exploration.
- Communicate the importance of academic success, high school graduation, and post-secondary planning.
- Safeguard member safety and maintain confidentiality at all times across all Club sites.
- Support Club sites in taking daily program attendance and inputting reporting data as assigned.
- Work alongside volunteer tutors and students to participate in ongoing educational improvement programs.
Requirements
- Passion for working with youth ages 6–18
- Previous work or volunteer experience (e.g., customer service, education, security, community programs)
- Demonstrated communication, organizational, and self-starter abilities
- Desire to co-facilitate and support teammates in program execution
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for at least 2 hours consecutively.
- Must be able to sit at a computer workstation for long periods of time.
- Complete LiveScan fingerprinting, a background check, and a tuberculosis (TB) evaluation or test.
