About the Role
We are seeking candidates who are passionate about creative engagement with students, supporting their learning objectives, and contributing pedagogical, communicative, and organizational skills to the school's leadership team. The role involves implementing the after-school program, assessing student progress, participating in meetings, supervising students, and embracing new methodologies.
Responsibilities
- On-campus supervision of day-to-day program activities
- Homework mentoring
- Communicate with team members and parents regarding student progress and behavior
- Supervise children, provide emotional support, and ensure their safety
- Organize and implement arts & crafts, sports, or science projects
- Organize recreational activities
- Respond promptly to program inquiries
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or Head of School
Requirements
- 1+ years of professional experience in recreational school programs or homework mentoring
- Open-mindedness, organizational skills, creativity, and enthusiasm for improvisation
- Experience and competence in advising, communicating, and working effectively with parents
- Demonstrated competency with basic word processing and internet functions, and all school-specific applications
- Ability to identify and respond appropriately to individuals needing immediate assistance
- German language skills required
- Valid US work permit required
- Eligible to work in the US (sponsorship not possible)
