About the Role
As Chief of Staff at Solstice, you will focus on operational excellence in operations, people and recruiting, strategy, and cross-company logistics. You will drive initiatives to onboard and support top talent, build systems for a scalable talent flywheel, and help set the standard for best-in-class internal processes. You will also address operational gaps, manage critical touchpoints, and partner with executive leadership on strategic projects.
Responsibilities
- Design, own, and evolve People Ops processes including onboarding, employee lifecycle management, payroll coordination, and performance reviews.
- Build and implement infrastructure for scalable, effective recruiting: create sourcing strategies, improve interview processes, and develop a repeatable talent flywheel.
- Address operational gaps across the organization, independently identifying challenges and implementing process improvements.
- Coordinate and drive cross-functional strategic projects with teams across engineering, commercial, product, and operations.
- Create and refine systems, processes, and communication cadences that support fast company growth and high-quality execution.
- Act as connective tissue between executive leadership and the wider company, translating company strategy into actionable execution and tracking progress.
- Maintain high standards for documentation, deliverables, and project management.
Requirements
- Strong experience in people operations, recruiting, management consulting, fast-growing startups, or other highly cross-functional, project-driven environments.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to lead and execute complex projects independently.
- Comfort operating in an ambiguous, fast-paced, in-person startup setting.
- Ability to anticipate issues and proactively solve problems.
- Familiarity with tech-enabled or life sciences/healthcare environments is a plus but not required.
