About the Role
Provide compassionate, high-quality support to clients in their own homes, helping them maintain independence and live with dignity. Assist with daily tasks, offer emotional support, and provide meaningful companionship, ensuring clients feel safe, respected, and valued.
Responsibilities
- Domestic Assistance – Supporting with household chores such as washing, ironing, vacuuming, and dusting.
- Meal Preparation – Assisting with planning, preparing, and cooking meals.
- Personal Care Support – Helping with showering, dressing, grooming, and other personal hygiene needs.
- Social Engagement – Providing companionship and encouraging participation in social activities and community engagement.
- Transport Services – Offering transport for appointments, shopping trips, and social outings.
Requirements
- Valid NSW Driver’s Licence
- Reliable NSW C Class Motor Vehicle for travel between customer locations
- Current accredited First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations (highly recommended)
- Basic computer and smartphone literacy
- Previous experience in Home Care or Disability Support (Desirable)
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Aging, Home, and Community) (Highly preferred)
- Empathy – understanding and sharing the feelings of others
- Patience – staying calm and composed in challenging situations
- Communication – clear and respectful interaction with clients and families
