About the Role

This role supports financial reporting, governance, and business performance for Team Global Express's freight and logistics operations. It offers broad exposure and is ideal for building commercial finance and business partnering experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and collate financial data for month-end reporting and journal processing.
  • Work with offshore finance teams to ensure accurate journal posting and reconciliation.
  • Partner with operational leaders to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, accruals, and financial transactions.
  • Assist with financial reporting, analysis, and commentary for business stakeholders.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A activities.
  • Help maintain strong financial controls and governance processes.
  • Monitor balance sheet reconciliations and assist with month-end close activities.
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests.
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, and Shared Services teams.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years' experience in accounting, financial analysis, or a similar finance role.
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline.
  • Progress towards or completion of CA or CPA qualifications is highly regarded.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Confidence working with large volumes of financial data.
  • Knowledge of balance sheets.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships across a diverse business.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with large ERP systems is a plus.
  • Previous experience in freight, logistics, transport, or a high-volume operational environment will be highly regarded.
  • A proactive approach and willingness to get into the detail when needed.
