Responsibilities
- Inspire and support the next generation of community services professionals.
- Teach across the Bachelor of Community Services.
- Deliver engaging learning experiences in community services related subjects.
- Combine outstanding teaching practice with digital capability, learning design, and innovation.
- Create flexible, engaging, and student-centred learning experiences.
- Create inclusive, engaging learning experiences.
- Help every student succeed.
- Experiment with AI and digital tools.
- Rethink traditional approaches to teaching.
- Seek feedback and use learning analytics to refine teaching.
- Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines.
- Adapt to a dynamic, digitally evolving higher education environment.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Community Services, Social Work, Welfare Work, or a closely related discipline.
- PhD (completed or in progress) is highly regarded.
- Current registration or membership with Community Work Australia (CWA, formerly ACWA) or the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated contemporary professional experience in the community services and social work sector.
- Expertise in one or more areas such as case management, mental health, family and child protection, homelessness and housing, youth services, or related fields.
- Strong facilitation skills across online and face-to-face learning environments in Higher Education.
- Experience using learning technologies and digital tools to enhance teaching.
- Confidence using, or enthusiasm for adopting, AI-enabled approaches in education.
- Experience designing engaging learning and assessment activities.
- A student-centred approach to teaching and learning.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- A growth mindset and commitment to continuous professional learning.
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications (or working towards completion).
