Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for business with enterprise customers in Japan and deepen the value of OpenText services.
  • As a direct sales representative, collaborate deeply with other departments such as marketing and SC to develop new customers and expand contracts with existing customers.
  • Conduct sales activities based at the Tokyo head office to meet customer needs.
  • Formulate and execute sales strategies and action plans.
  • Lead business strategy in all aspects of sales, marketing, delivery, and support.

Requirements

  • Complete initial training within 2 months of joining, acquire service content and technical knowledge, and conduct independent sales activities in line with company policy.
  • Deeply understand the management strategies of Japanese global enterprise customers, formulate strategies from OpenText's value proposition, clarify customer issues, and propose solutions.
  • Understand the business of target companies broadly and engage in proposal activities that contribute to the improvement of their operations.
  • Be able to explain the content and technical advantages of OpenText services from both business and technical perspectives.
  • Skills to establish and maintain good human relationships with target companies.
  • Communication skills to lead and manage collaboration with other departments.
  • Establish strong and trusting relationships with SC within the team in a short period to achieve goals.
  • Proactively act and behave with the overall team's profit in mind, as various cooperative relationships are necessary for the sales team as a whole to achieve its goals.
  • Close collaboration with other functions is an essential element for achieving goals.
  • Analysis of competitors is naturally necessary for business plan formulation and strategy establishment.
  • Select appropriate tactics in line with sales strategy with insight into market trends.
  • Grasp industry and domestic/international business trends, economic conditions, etc.
  • Direct sales experience with enterprise companies.
  • Experience in selling solutions related to document management, content management, and related consulting.
  • Experience in handling multiple manufacturers in the electronics, automotive, machinery, semiconductor, and major parts manufacturer industries for several years.
  • Sales experience in system implementation projects (package or scratch development), with an understanding of the full scale from business requirements definition to design, development, and support.
  • Build long-term business by providing excellent customer experience.
  • Have or be able to build strong relationships with enterprise companies.
  • Be able to map the scope of OpenText's response to unreasonable and strong demands from enterprise companies and respond appropriately to their claims.
