About the Role

Bensonhurst Veterinary Care (BVC) is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to provide best-in-class care to patients, including wellness and sick exams, vaccinations, diagnostic testing, surgical procedures, dentistry, laser therapy, behavior counseling, and urgent care. The role offers opportunities for training and continuing development.

Responsibilities

• Pet restraint
• Triage incoming patients
• Collection and analysis of lab samples
• Diagnostic imaging
• Management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases
• Administration of medications
• Effective communication of treatment plans with clients
• Surgical preparation and assistance
• Anesthetic management
• Withstand unpleasant odors and noises
• Handle potential exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste, and contagious diseases

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-year experience preferred
