Our housekeeping staff is essential to ensuring a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for our patients and their families. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and a culture of compassion, caring, warmth and support within our hospital, spending quality time with patients and their families, and going above and beyond to deliver superior customer service.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and a culture of compassion, caring, warmth and support within our hospital.
- Spend quality time and build solid relationships with patients and their families.
- Go above and beyond for patients to deliver superior customer service and ensure their comfort and safety at all times.
- Capable of using equipment and tools necessary for performance of duty.
- Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions.
- Must be able to work with patient and bodily fluids/excrement/odors.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 3-6 months of hospital housekeeping experience
- Extensive customer service experience and a desire to Put Patients First.
- Experience in the hotel, restaurant or retail industry.
- Must be able to work with patient and bodily fluids/excrement/odors.
- All roles require on-site presence.
- Employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
- NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
