About the Role

US Foods is seeking a Non CDL Driver to deliver foodservice products to customers with a high level of service. This role is critical to our success and offers opportunities for continuous growth and development within the foodservice industry.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload the vehicle for multi-stop deliveries.
  • Transport deliveries by driving assigned vehicles.
  • Use hand truck to move product from the delivery vehicle into the customer location, including navigating stairs.
  • Accurately record delivery information using a hand scanner and company documentation.
  • Manage the documentation and disposition of any returned product.
  • Communicate delivery and customer issues to the appropriate authority.
  • Deliver product to designated stops following the provided sequence.
  • Unload product safely and stage it in the customer's designated area.
  • Verify invoice accuracy and process paperwork and any damaged merchandise.
  • Collect payments when necessary.
  • Monitor the vehicle's refrigeration system for safety and adhere to safe food handling procedures.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including checking fluid levels, tires, and windshield wash, and replenishing fuel.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Possess a valid U.S. driver's license with proper endorsements if required.
  • No more than two traffic violation convictions in the past two years.
  • No DUI convictions in the past three years.
  • No driver's license suspensions in the past three years.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical.
  • One year of multi-stop delivery experience required, or 6 months of local delivery experience and/or foodservice industry experience.
  • Hand cart delivery experience preferred.
  • Able to read, write, and communicate in English regarding job and safety regulations.
  • Must have basic math skills.
  • Must pass pre-employment testing, including a Background Check.
  • Knowledge of the local area and/or map reading abilities.
  • Proficient in safe lifting and loading techniques.
  • Great interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions.
