About the Role
The Research Analyst will provide analytical, operational, and administrative support to the Center for Global Development's contribution to the Smart Buys Alliance, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, policy-relevant outputs.
Responsibilities
- Measure and analyze how donor agencies engage with and use cost-effective evidence through literature reviews, data extraction, and quantitative analysis.
- Conduct original data analysis, cost-effectiveness and heterogeneity analysis, and draft research outputs.
- Draft and revise papers, reports, and blogs regarding the use of cost-effective evidence.
- Track processes and initiatives aimed at increasing evidence-use by development organizations and governments.
- Plan and manage logistics for workshops, roundtable discussions, and launch events.
- Coordinate meeting schedules across time zones and manage travel arrangements for event participants.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in economics, public policy, international development, or a closely related field.
- At least four years of professional experience in economic or public policy analysis related to international development.
- Strong research and quantitative analytical skills with experience in empirical research.
- Knowledge of data analysis and causal inference methods.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to summarize complex material for policy audiences.
- Experience supporting committees, working groups, or multi-stakeholder processes.
- Experience with communications, social media management, or event coordination.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills including management of shared documents and schedules.
- Ability to work effectively across institutions and time zones.
- Must have the right to live and work in the UK.
