About the Role

Join ASX, a leading global securities exchange and trusted market operator, as part of a team that powers a stronger economic future. This role supports critical ASX external and internal applications and services by providing technical support and administration of key server environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support including installation, configuration, maintenance, security, and compliance of ASX Enterprise Systems, with a focus on Windows System Administration.
  • Support various infrastructure platforms such as Active Directory, Backup, and DNS.
  • Accommodate software installation and upgrade projects for application owners.
  • Perform Intel Hardware configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and upgrade of physical servers.
  • Develop technical standards and associated documentation.
  • Engage in infrastructure design/architecture and environmental review.
  • Design to ensure system availability targets are met or exceeded.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.
  • Adhere to change management disciplines for all system changes.
  • Participate in security and operational incident response.
  • Perform OS Patch Implementation, administration, and status monitoring.
  • Work out of hours and participate in rostered On-Call components.
  • Provide onsite support of systems at ASX Data Centre Sites.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in Windows System Administration with advanced troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Experience in developing and deploying Windows SOEs across physical and virtual (On-Prem and Cloud) environments.
  • Experience with secure server build and configuration in line with best practice hardening controls.
  • Experience with automation and compliance tools for maintaining uniformity across Windows environments, specifically Ansible.
  • Scripting experience, preferably Powershell.
  • Experience in configuring and maintaining physical Intel server hardware.
  • MCSE/MCSA certifications.
  • AWS SysOps certifications.
  • Containerisation experience (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Routing, switching concepts and firewalling experience.
  • Interest in Infrastructure oriented Open Source communities.
  • Legally authorised to work in Australia on a permanent basis without any restrictions.
