About the Role

The Sales Enablement & Operations (SE&O) team translates Microsoft’s Commercial Strategy into local execution plans and drives operational excellence. As the Activation GTM Manager for Security in Japan, you will accelerate revenue growth, boost field agility, and deliver results by partnering with key stakeholders across sales, marketing, consulting, customer success, and partner functions. You will focus on driving alignment across processes and tools, optimizing pipelines, ensuring effective communication and flawless execution, and leveraging insights for data-driven decision-making. This role is critical for driving customer adoption at scale, supported by deep solution play domain, product truth, and partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility for field execution and business performance across Conversation, driving activation excellence.
  • Develop and execute business strategy, tracking plan efficacy to drive sustainable growth and accepting accountability for revenue, scorecard metrics, and KPIs.
  • Identify strategic priorities and drive alignment across the business to enable the team/stakeholders to deliver against priorities.
  • Lead definition and orchestration of strategic go-to-market (GTM) plans across the business, inclusive of marketing, field, consulting, customer success, and partner functions.
  • Partner with EPS to guide the development and execution of programs to recruit and enable partners to achieve target capacity and quality.
  • Ensure Solution GTM Leads and field communities have the leadership and enablement needed to run the business locally.
  • Serve as the primary orchestrator between corporate and the field, ensuring alignment on business results and actions.
  • Evangelize across products within the Product Manager-owned portfolio and across the business.
  • Leverage product/technical expertise and industry/market knowledge to develop competitive strategy, position value proposition, and tailor messaging.
  • Drive area/subsidiary leadership by revealing and pursuing long-range, white-space growth opportunities and investment plans.
  • Drive a pipeline of feedback from sales to the supply chain and leverage regional competitive knowledge to develop business cases and land services with customers.
  • Provide authorization for investments and drive follow-through to ensure customers have hardware availability.
  • Exemplify Microsoft Values, Culture, Leadership Principles, and create clarity by building a shared understanding and a clear course of action.

Requirements

  • 5+ years marketing strategy, business planning, sales enablement, business development, technical pre-sales or related work experience OR equivalent experience
  • 8+ years marketing strategy, business planning, sales enablement, business development, technical pre-sales, or related work experience AND Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field OR equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience managing and expanding a product/solution portfolio and driving demand generation and pipeline acceleration within a complex organization OR equivalent experience
  • Business proficiency in both Japanese and English is required.
