About the Role
SFCB is seeking a hands-on Project Manager to oversee a year-long 30th-anniversary celebration. This role involves managing three flagship events and approximately ten smaller events, ensuring all logistical, budgetary, and promotional aspects are executed successfully through September 2027.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a master project plan including timelines, task tracking, and budgets.
- Execute three large flagship events, including venue selection, vendor management, and guest logistics.
- Coordinate and execute 6-10 smaller events in collaboration with staff.
- Manage relationships with vendors, caterers, and contractors.
- Assign tasks to staff and volunteers to ensure project schedules are met.
- Monitor anniversary budget and flag potential issues.
- Support event promotion through invitations, social media, and press coordination.
- Provide regular status updates to the Executive Director, Board, and stakeholders.
- Maintain a centralized tracking system for team visibility.
Requirements
- Proven project management experience handling multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Demonstrated event planning experience, preferably with nonprofits or galas.
- Strong organizational skills with experience managing budgets, timelines, and contracts.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work on-site in San Francisco for events and key planning meetings.
