About the Role

Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Supply Chain Procurement Specialist – Level 3 to join their collaborative teams. This role is crucial for missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. The position offers full-time remote work, with a preference for candidates living near specific NG Space Sector sites.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure materials and services within the Computer IT Hardware & Software commodities.
• Execute the procurement process, including sourcing, price analysis, Commercial Item Determination, and negotiations, adhering to policies and regulations like FAR and DFARS.
• Prepare bid packages, analyze proposals, negotiate PO provisions, administer resulting POs, and ensure on-time delivery.
• Understand federal acquisition thresholds and required documentation levels for different procurement transactions.
• Evaluate and monitor supplier quality, reliability, and delivery schedule support in conjunction with the quality organization.
• Collaborate with internal customers to ensure specifications meet requirements for services or products.
• Identify strategies and opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and risk management through negotiations.
• Manage purchase order performance and ensure compliance with public law requirements, company policies, and import/export regulations.
• Interface and collaborate with key stakeholders and other organizations within and outside of Global Supply Chain.
• Plan, schedule, and arrange activities to accomplish objectives, demonstrating strong written and verbal communication and organization skills.
• Employ sound business practices and assess supplier performance.
• Review and approve supplier payments, including invoice reconciliation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited university and 5+ years of procurement, supply chain, sourcing, or closely related business experience, OR a Master's degree and 3+ years of procurement, supply chain, sourcing, or closely related business experience.
• An additional 4+ years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to support stretch assignments/projects as directed.
• Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to keep multiple priorities moving forward.
• Understanding of federal acquisition thresholds and documentation requirements.
• Strong understanding of the procurement process in a government contracting environment.
• Experience with an MRP system such as SAP or Costpoint.
• Experience with low to moderate value and complexity purchases, including single/sole source with source controlled drawings.
• Experience procuring in an engineering development environment.
• Experience in Computer IT Hardware & Software commodities with specifications/configurations requirements.
• Experience leading negotiations with suppliers.
• Basic comprehension of technical drawings and documents.
• Knowledge of government contracting requirements and regulations.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.
