About the Role

Join Acumen Health as an ADF Rehabilitation Consultant, applying clinical reasoning to support ADF personnel with physical and/or psychological injuries. This role offers meaningful rewards and the opportunity to help military personnel achieve full fitness.

Responsibilities

  • Taking a holistic care approach, work within a multidisciplinary team to support the journey from rehab to healing.
  • Perform a variety of assessments depending on your area of clinical expertise, such as functional capacity evaluations, worksite, ergonomic or activities of daily living assessments.
  • Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders including the employee, medical specialists, other treatment providers, and allied health professionals.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor rehabilitation plans.
  • Focus on genuine person-centred care and goal setting, with KPIs based on service delivery outcomes, not billable hours.

Requirements

  • Current unrestricted registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC or AASW).
  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, Osteopathy or Social Work.
  • Australian Citizenship.
  • Minimum of one year clinical work experience, registered in your chosen profession.
  • Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support the achievement of a common goal.
  • Passion to help people rehabilitate.
  • Occupational rehabilitation experience will be highly regarded.
