About the Role
The Discovery Team in App Experiences manages features and systems to help communities form, grow, and thrive on Twitch. These features enable users to participate in their favorite communities and discover new ones efficiently. The role focuses on the entire stack (React and Golang), initially leaning towards backend systems with future client-side efforts.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, launch, and operate interactive experiences in collaboration with product managers, technical leads, and other engineers.
- Investigate, instrument, and resolve performance issues.
- Build distributed applications at scale.
- Foster shared understanding and deliver solutions through collaboration with internal and related teams.
- Address customer problems to drive business impact.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience developing software in a professional environment.
- Prior experience building consumer-facing products at scale.
- Proficient coding skills in modern languages and frameworks such as React, Kotlin, Swift, Objective-C, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Consideration for employment of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.
