About the Role
Support day-to-day accounting for three entities, focusing on month-end close, intercompany billing, and reconciliations. Approximately 25% of the role involves A/R collections. This position requires flexibility, a continuous-improvement mindset, and comfort with change.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accruals, update/reconcile key balance sheet accounts, and maintain SOX-compliant documentation.
- Maintain the lease schedule, record right-of-use asset and liability amortization, reconcile lease balances, and support disclosure preparation.
- Prepare revenue recognition entries and reconcile deferred revenue balances.
- Issue intercompany invoices and reconcile balances to ensure accurate consolidation eliminations.
- Review and code credit card expenses, coordinate with the India AP team, and reconcile/post expenses.
- Monitor AR aging, contact customers, resolve disputes/short-pays, coordinate cash application, and provide simple weekly status updates.
- Maintain and execute internal controls over financial reporting, prepare supporting documentation for control testing, and coordinate with auditors.
- Utilize AI/automation tools to streamline the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of accounting experience across GL, A/R, A/P, and month-end close.
- Familiarity with SOX controls.
- Proficiency with Dynamics 365 (or similar ERP), Excel, and basic BI/reporting tools.
- Comfortable using AI-enabled tools (e.g., Claude/Copilot/ChatGPT, Power Query/Power Automate) to improve efficiency and data quality.
- Strong communication and follow-up skills; confident with customer-facing collections.
- Adaptable and proactive—able to navigate ambiguity, embrace change, and propose practical process improvements in a post-merger environment.
