About the Role

Albany County has multiple Full Time 40-hour Assistant Residential Manager positions available. The Assistant Residential Manager supports and cares for people with intellectual or other developmental disabilities, assisting the Residential Manager to ensure the program runs safely and effectively. This includes assisting individuals with daily routines, medication, and participating in community activities.

Responsibilities

  • Support and care for people with intellectual or other developmental disabilities.
  • Assist the Residential Manager to ensure the program is running safely and effectively.
  • Assist individuals with getting ready for the day or going to bed.
  • Assist with cooking and cleaning.
  • Provide medication assistance.
  • Participate in social/recreational activities in the community.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to use independent judgment and discretion to ensure employee compliance with regulatory standards, agency policies and procedures, and plans of care.

Education Level

  • High school diploma or equivalent = preferred.
  • At least 9 months of experience working with people who have Intellectual or other Developmental Disabilities = preferred.

Salary/Compensations

  • $21.50 per hour
