About the Role

Grand Canyon Education (GCE) is seeking a motivated Account Executive to oversee the Austin, TX territory. This role involves supporting Grand Canyon University students from application through to the completion of their initial classes, playing an integral part in their success.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently identify and implement event/activity plans for your territory.
  • Build awareness of online academic programs in education, healthcare, and business.
  • Drive inquiry generation through various mediums.
  • Shape high-impact partnerships for your territory.
  • Execute daily work through informational presentations, calls, and emails, iterating as needed.
  • Provide exceptional counseling to prospective students, their families, and partners.
  • Champion the GCE mission, promoting Grand Canyon University student success and institutional growth.
  • Support prospective Grand Canyon University students through the admissions process.
  • Guide students toward a successful online learning experience.

Requirements

  • Must live within 30 miles of Austin, TX.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • No delinquent or in default on a federal student loan as verified in your credit report.
  • If in a rehabilitation program, credit report must reflect current, non-delinquent payments.
  • Outstanding time management and prioritization skills, even while traveling.
  • Clear communication skills (in-person, written, phone) and well-developed listening skills.
  • Self-motivation and drive to succeed; willingness to volunteer for new challenges.
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to demonstrate empathy.
  • A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to use personal vehicle for travel.
  • Some events may require evening and/or weekend availability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Over 3 years of demonstrated success in outside business development, consultative sales, or account management.
