About the Role

We are seeking a Director, Event Marketing to own the strategy and delivery of our full event portfolio, tie it directly to pipeline and brand, and lead the events team. This role is equal parts art and science, requiring creativity to make Stream stand out and a commercial, demand-gen mindset to ensure events deliver results. You will report to the VP of Marketing and collaborate across marketing and sales.

Responsibilities

  • Own the events strategy and the US event portfolio end to end, including calendar, priorities, investment case, and metrics.
  • Determine where Stream will be present through owned, third-party, and partner events.
  • Establish and maintain a premium standard for all event experiences.
  • Lead the strategy and execution of our flagship conference.
  • Ideate and launch new event series and formats to differentiate Stream.
  • Design distinctive, customer-first experiences, shaping agendas and run of show.
  • Design a field event motion that runs as connected campaigns with momentum.
  • Build co-branded activations with partners to generate pipeline and brand lift.
  • Bring an experiential point of view to create unique attendee experiences.
  • Partner with sales, partnerships, and ABM to align events with account priorities and pipeline goals.
  • Define and operationalize success metrics for pipeline contribution, engagement, and ROI.
  • Own the promotional plan for every event, including registration, lifecycle, paid promotion, and internal enablement.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the events team, including direct management of the US field event manager.
  • Partner across marketing and sales, with fluency in content and design to direct creative efforts.
  • Manage budgets, vendors, sponsors, and agency relationships to maximize ROI.
  • Build processes and rigor to enable events to scale with business growth.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in event or experiential marketing, with strategic, function-owning level experience.
  • People leadership experience, including managing and developing direct reports.
  • A strong portfolio of event work is a prerequisite.
  • In-house experience at a technology company with a working understanding of demand generation and B2B sales cycles.
  • A track record of owning flagship events or conferences end to end.
  • Strong field and third-party event experience, including partner and co-branded activations.
  • Commercial acumen to tie events to pipeline, ABM, and revenue.
  • Fluency in content and design to partner well and set a creative bar.
  • Steady hand with agencies, vendors, and sponsors.
  • Executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker who stays close enough to execution to catch what matters.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, competing priorities, and high-visibility moments.
  • AI-forward, tech-savvy approach with fluency in tools like HubSpot and modern event platforms.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30%.
