About the Role
Dymocks Tutoring/Talent 100 seeks a motivated and empathetic Learning Coach to act as a success coach for Year 11 and 12 students, helping them improve grades and confidence through academic support and mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Provide immediate, fair-use academic assistance during Homework Help sessions by responding to subject-specific and study-related questions.
- Make outbound academic check-in calls to support student engagement, identify learning gaps, and implement appropriate interventions.
- Help students plan and manage their study, track assessment results, and connect with targeted learning resources.
- Support growth initiatives by promoting additional subjects and encouraging referrals to the Dymocks Guru Discord channel.
- Maintain clear and accurate student and customer records, and deliver daily updates on service usage and outreach outcomes.
Requirements
- High ATAR (95+) with a Band 6 in HSC English (up to Advanced), Maths (up to Advanced), and at least one Science or HSIE subject.
- Consistent availability for at least 4 nights per week (Monday–Sunday) between 6:00 pm and 10:00 pm.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to understand a student's struggles.
- Strong ability to pivot between providing academic help and making outreach calls.
- A current employee Working With Children Check (WWCC) is mandatory.
- Previous experience in sales or customer service calls within an educational setting is desirable.
- Must have the right to work in Australia and provide evidence.
