About the Role

Talarico for Texas is seeking a full-time Texas Press Manager to support the communications team in driving James’ message by responding to breaking developments in the press. This is not an entry-level position.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute press events for in-state local TV and print media.
• Manage press logistics for in-state press events.
• Update daily press memos.
• Draft talking points and other written materials related to in-state press events.
• Work closely with the Deputy Press Secretary for Texas Press and the policy team to develop talking points for in-state press events.

Requirements

• 1-2+ years of experience in political communications, journalism or another relevant field.
• Proven experience producing quality deliverables under tight deadlines and high pressure.
• Deep understanding of the Texas and national political landscape.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
