About the Role
The Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable data platforms, pipelines, and infrastructure to support analytics, AI/ML, reporting, and enterprise data products. This role focuses on cloud platforms and modern lake house architectures to deliver secure, governed data solutions for cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, PySpark, and SQL.
- Advocate for AI-native engineering workflows using tools like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and Databricks Genie.
- Build and support data ingestion frameworks using APIs, SFTP, cloud storage, and databases.
- Develop data products within a Medallion Data Lakehouse architecture.
- Optimize data workflows, orchestration, and monitoring for reliability and performance.
- Manage cloud-based data infrastructure on Databricks, AWS, Snowflake, and Google Cloud.
- Build operational tooling and dashboards to track pipeline health and system performance.
- Collaborate with Data Science, Analytics, Product, and Engineering teams.
- Maintain source control, CI/CD processes, and deployment best practices.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms including Databricks, AWS, Snowflake, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with integrating AI and automation tools to improve code quality and speed.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
