About the Role
We are seeking a creative, proactive, and hands-on Communications Partner to join our People & Culture team. This role will partner with the Roadside business to deliver communication strategies, campaigns, and content that inform, engage, and inspire employees, helping them feel connected to the NRMA's objectives, vision, culture, and values.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver communication plans and strategies aligned to business priorities.
- Create tactical frontline engagement plans that can be monitored, refined, and improved.
- Partner on key projects, change initiatives, and business transformations by creating communication plans that support employee understanding and promote buy-in.
- Act as an embedded communications advisor to key stakeholders, shaping messages that inform, provide clarity, set the right tone, and inspire people.
- Advise stakeholders on key messages, communication rhythms, and channels to best engage frontline teams.
- Set clear service expectations with stakeholders, delivering high-quality first drafts within agreed timeframes.
- Plan and execute communication campaigns and initiatives, ensuring the right message is delivered through the right channel at the right time.
- Develop creative strategies and tactics to increase employee awareness, participation, and engagement.
- Produce clear, engaging, and audience-led communication materials adaptable across different channels.
- Create written and visual content for channels including news stories, internal social posts, presentation slides, and business updates.
- Coordinate and prioritize the communications calendar, balancing competing requests based on business impact, sequencing, and audience needs.
- Provide content ideas and input for external channels, including LinkedIn, aligned to internal campaign messaging.
- Help keep external careers content refreshed, relevant, and engaging.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
- Change management qualification preferred but not essential.
- 5+ years of experience in a communications partner role, supporting stakeholders at different levels of a medium-large organization.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional writing capability, with the ability to tailor messaging and capture the attention of different audience types.
- Experience communicating with large frontline teams, or a strong understanding of how to engage operational audiences.
- Creative thinking and a genuine passion for storytelling.
- Confidence using communication tools and platforms, such as content management systems, social media management tools, and analytics software.
- Familiarity with external brand representation and content creation across LinkedIn and other external media channels.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize, manage competing requests, and work to tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work across teams, functions, and senior leadership groups.
