About the Role

Pepe's Ducks is seeking an experienced Electrical Fitter for their Maintenance team at the South Windsor processing facility. This role involves supporting the factory through preventative maintenance, electrical fault finding, and breakdown response, ideal for problem-solvers who enjoy working with automated equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and assist with the repair of electrical faults on production equipment
• Safely disconnect and reconnect motors, drives and plant equipment
• Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance
• Assist to install, replace and commission electrical components
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and technical manuals
• Complete maintenance records
• Respond to maintenance calls and requests
• Participate in shutdowns, plant upgrades and after-hours breakdowns
• Work safely while complying with WHS, GMP and food safety requirements

Requirements

• A trade qualification or proven experience in industrial maintenance
• A solid electrical background with the ability to assist in electrical fault finding and equipment maintenance
• Experience working alongside licensed electricians in a manufacturing or processing environment
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to carry out routine maintenance and repairs
• Welding skills, stainless steel welding highly regarded
• A proactive attitude, strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Cannot have birds or pigs of any variety at their place of residence or be in regular contact with any type of birds or pigs
• Cannot be in regular contact with persons who are in regular contact with any type of birds or pigs
• Successful candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol test
