About the Role

Be a trusted first point of contact for managers and employees, providing practical advice and support across a broad range of people matters. You'll contribute to key people processes, projects and initiatives that support the delivery of high-quality People & Culture services across Council. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure across the full employee lifecycle while helping drive policy improvements, organisational initiatives and continuous improvement within the People & Culture function.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development, review and implementation of People & Culture policies, procedures and governance frameworks.
  • Coordinate employee lifecycle administration, including employee movements, correspondence and HR system updates.
  • Maintain the integrity of HR records, organisational structures and workforce data to support accurate reporting and decision-making.
  • Partner with the People & Culture team to deliver projects and initiatives across areas such as employee relations, organisational development, learning and development, and change management.

Requirements

  • Experience preparing professional correspondence, policies and templates, with a sound understanding of relevant legislation and best practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion while working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • A minimum of 3 years generalist HR experience within large multidisciplinary and diverse organisations.
  • Previous experience requiring a detailed understanding of human resources policies and procedures.
  • Must meet essential qualification and licence requirements.
  • Must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or a permanent resident in Australia. Applicants holding valid visas may be considered for Casual or Term contracts subject to their visa work conditions.

Salary/Compensations

  • $108,795.03 to $119,781.85 + 12% superannuation
