About the Role
AECOM is seeking a Proposal Specialist II to join the Federal Marketing team, supporting Federal Defense and Civilian agencies. This role offers the opportunity to work with specialized teams across various sectors in North America and internationally.
Responsibilities
- Assist with large proposals and lead small to medium proposals, supporting from capture through interview stages.
- Coordinate proposal content and information, including schedules, templates, compliance, content plans, and production.
- Provide conceptual leadership for document design.
- Serve as lead writer/editor for resumes and past performance sections for proposals.
- Facilitate color reviews (Pink and Red team) and apply lessons learned to enhance proposals.
- Manage the implementation of proposal and presentation revisions based on review team feedback.
- Participate in go/no-go and greenlight analyses in compliance with delegation of authority guidelines, capture planning, and positioning activities.
- Complete internal debriefs for led proposals and review client feedback for continuous improvement.
- Maintain solid working knowledge of company quality procedures and approval processes (legal, contracts, DOA, signatory).
- Liaise with business line teams, operations, technical, and business development professionals to support marketing information.
- Provide guidance to entry-level proposal team members.
- Perform self-checks of work before submitting for review or approval.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience collaborating within a marketing team to lead and/or support proposal activities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Foundational knowledge of proposal best practices, procedures, work processes, and tools for Federal proposal management of RFQ/P responses.
- Advanced skills in Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and complex deliverables simultaneously with strong attention to detail, consistent follow-up, and successful completion.
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to produce accurate, compliant, and compelling deliverables.
