About the Role

Amerit Fleet Solutions is hiring an experienced Refrigeration Technician in Buffalo, NY. This role is ideal for individuals with strong experience diagnosing and repairing Thermo King and/or Carrier Reefer units, seeking stable hours with excellent pay and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain Thermo King and Carrier refrigeration units
• Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) and A/C service
• Repair refrigeration diesel engines on trailer units
• Conduct safety inspections and complete required documentation
• Perform DOT inspections and trailer repairs when reefer units are fully operational
• Access and inspect undercarriages and mechanical components
• Remove and install parts as needed
• Maintain accurate service records (computer & manual entry)
• Communicate with clients via phone and email
• Follow all safety regulations and company procedures

Requirements

• Proven experience with Reefer units (Thermo King and/or Carrier)
• EPA 608 Certification (Required)
• Experience with PMs and A/C systems
• Valid Driver’s License (Class C)
• Own hand tools and toolbox
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Basic computer proficiency (Excel, Word, fleet systems, email)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
